Catalyzing the shift to engaged, empowered learning

We are an education nonprofit based in the suburbs of Boston, MA. Since our founding in 2017, WPS has offered programs with a focus on fostering educational innovation and opportunity. We advance models of schooling where learning thrives everywhere, in classrooms and beyond; where students and their families are empowered to shape their own educational journeys; and where entire communities contribute to the development of young people.

Three Essential Outcomes

Schools, community organizations, workplaces and other institutions collaborate to unlock new learning opportunities, recognizing that involvement in education is a shared responsibility.

When education is embedded in the community, students get involved in real-world challenges and discover innovative solutions, finding greater meaning and purpose at school.

This dynamic exchange also extends the relevance and impact of community institutions.

Students co-create their educational goals, make meaningful choices, and shape their learning experiences.
As students progress from passive participants to active leaders of their own learning, they gain a deeper sense of agency and responsibility, and educators, in turn, become partners and coaches, responsive to students’ evolving needs.

This collaborative approach cultivates an educational culture where students and adults alike grow together.
