Motivation

This toolkit helps educators better understand what drives adolescent motivation, and translate that understanding into everyday practice. Grounded in developmental needs for autonomy, competence, and relatedness, it includes reflection tools, practical strategies, and ready-to-use resources for creating learning environments where young people feel engaged, capable, and connected.

BRING DESIGN TO YOUR CLASSROOM!

Developed in partnership with MIT MAD (Morningside Academy of Design), this growing library of open-source design modules includes 50-110 minute hands-on learning experiences for grades 6-12. Each module is focused on a specific design skill and a compelling theme inspired by MIT research — from outer space habitation to game design — chosen to spark students’ curiosity.
